The Automobile Museum in Turin, the only one of its kind in Italy, tells the story of the automobile, its transformation from a means of transport to a cult object, from its origins to the contemporary evolution of creative thought, retracing all the epochal passages of society. The Museum, set up by the Franco-Swiss set designer Francois Confino, is not only aimed at motor enthusiasts, but was conceived in a modern and innovative way to involve a vast and heterogeneous public.

Village, Medieval Fortress and Valentino Park

The Medieval Village of Turin, in the heart of the Valentino Park not far from the hotel, was built in 1884, on the occasion of the Italian General Exhibition of Turin. The complex was designed for educational purposes and was destined for demolition at the end of the event; in reality it was the only pavilion to be preserved and was destined to be a civic museum starting in 1942. The Medieval Village is made up of a series of houses and shops overlooked by the castle; all the facades of the buildings, the decorations of the rooms and the furnishings of the castle are perfect reproductions of 15th century buildings present in Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta.
